Q: why do people drive on parkways and park an driveways?

because americans like to name things in silly ways just to piss off their British origins.

Q: where did the solar system come from?(not the Big Band theory either)
|
ok, i'll avoid the big bang side of things because i dont really subscribe to it either.
to answer where the solar system came from you must first look at the bigger and smaller pictures.... where did galaxies come from and where did matter come from. but without going of on a huge long cosmos extravaganza, i'll try to limit myself to mearly where the solar system came from. Our Star (the sun, aka Sol) came from the matter left over by a dead star long ago, as did nearly all stars today. i very much doubt there are any of the earliest stars to form left today, but thanx to the speed of light, scientists can see these (from a great distance, so not with much detail) to know of their existance.. also, computer simulations also coroborate this, which brings me neatly to the other part.... matter. namely, the starting block... Hydrogen. It all starts with hydrogen... so i could just leave it at that.... The solar system comes from Hydrogen..... thats right, the stuff that burns with a pop. ;D
we are half the human race, a race that evolved from primates (heck we basically are still primates! lol) and before that, other kinds of monkeys, and before that a differnt shape of mamal, the progression goes right back to single celled life. we came from amoebas.. and before that? well they came from matter and energy just like everything else.... so.... we came from hydrogen. ;p

Q: did we realy start out as monkeys?
|
yup. we ARE monkeys. just walking on our hind legs and talking doesnt change that. ... other monkeys even do that!
Quote:
Q: if so where did they come from?

Hydrogen.

Q: if not did a "god" realy create us?
|
could be. depends on the definition of god, and whether or not such a thing exists. if, like unitarian universalists, you believe that god is everything, then.... yeah, we were created out of a part of everything.
Quote:
Q: and if so where did he/ she come from?
|
ahhh... thus why the whole "god" thing is BS... science can always peer through ever distant looking glasses with inlooking glasses from within, but god?... god is such a limited concept, of course it had to be made by the falability of early human.

Q:what is the color of the grass called green and not purple or blue or yellow?
|
you mean why right?
because we as Humans, fruit eating monkeys at one point, it was helpfull for us to develope the ability to sence colour throught the spectrum, those that didnt ended up eating rotten fruit and leaves and dies of, therefor ever increasing our ability to see colour in the genepool. we call that part of the colour spectrum green, because that is how the language developed to describe the colour spectrum. each of us may actually see it completely differently, but because we all learn it the same, regardles of how one ACTUALLY sees it, we all know the grass to be green (unless its one of those funky purple strains lol)

Q: how was the first word created?
|
a monkey screamed at another monkey to alert it to a danger... over a long long time, these screams became distinct and different for each different danger that required a different responce. the earliest developments of language can been seen like this right through the animal kingdom. my fave being merecats. always looking out for one another, ready to make the appropriate alarm call for snake, bird of prey, car.... you name it. ... or rather.. they will.. and usually sounding something like "Skwick skwick!"

Q: what was the first word created?

....
Skwick?
hehe... just kiding.
it woulda sounded somthing like a high pitched "AARGH ARGH" or something like that.
but i suppose it all depends on where you define the difference between a word and a noise.
the earliest version of "ouch" could have been the first word.

Q: how do these scientists make up thses big long words?
|
which ones? different method for different words.
chemical names? they have a system now, which although often creates longer names than the traditional names, it goes alot further and allows the naming of all molecules. ... all different ones i mean.. not ALL molecules... that would be silly.
as for the other names.... hmm.. like i say.. different methods.

Q: are they really words?
|
yeah.
what a silly question.

think about it if you can answer any of them please do so cuz i have no idea.
