Pope creates a new list of Commendments.

The new Pope has created a new list of sins.
1; Biothetical violations
(birth control)
2;Morally dubious expiriment
(stem cell research)
3;Drug abuse
4;Polluting the enviorment
5;Contributing to the widening gap, between the rich and the poor
6;excessive wealth
7;creating poverty

lol what are your thoughts on the popes changes?

all but the first 2 are cool with me, though drug abuse is a grey area. everyone has their definition of abuse and even what are and aren't drugs.

I still don't care about anything the pope has to say, really but at least he's laying on that catholic guilt trip for some legitimately good causes

I don't give a fuck what the pope has to say about anything and the fact that Christians try to force their beliefs on other people and tell them what they do is wrong because the Christian bible says so is fucking ridiculous.

My thoughts on the pope's changes are this... Yet MORE proof that Catholicism is a crock. I guess he failed to read the part in Revelation where it says not to change the scriptures, lol.

BUUTTTT! Here's the single most hilarious part of this whole thing:

He's guilty of breaking his own commandment!!!! As is the Catholic Church as a whole... They're the wealthiest establishment in the fuckin world! LoL!!!!

I wonder if this means that him, and all the cardinals and priests will have to sell their Benzes, Beamers, and mansions, so they can go live amongst poor people...

In the Catholic church, the pope can do whatever he wants to, because they believe him to be the bodily incarnation of Jesus Christ for today's world... Or in other words, it's Catholic doctrine that the Pope is God incarnate, so by those standards he can do whatever he wants... Regardless of whether or not it aligns with the Bible...

Those already are sins, but just worded differently.
Actually if you read the bible there are a lot more than ten commandments, those were given to moses on the mountain, others were dictated by the lord god within the walls onf the tabernacle.

Yeah... There's 600+ commandments given in the first 5 books of the OT...

adhering to what the pope has to say is kinda like deciding not to park in the new or expecting mother parking space; if you dont pay attention to it its not punishable by law and if you do, youre just being courteous.

Oh i agree, was raised catholic but consider myself non-denominational. Only the original 10 were actually considered commandments the others were laws, decreed by moses under authority of god. Interestingly enough if you read them they read almost like the legal code of today.

Anyone find it hypocritical that the Roman Catholic has come up with these last four? A recent Catholic church built by my parents cost over 10 million to construct, the money donated by parishioners goes to fuel the church's battles against rape victims, and the religion has their own city. Now who has excessive wealth now?

Oh yes and they pollute every time a new pope is to be elected by burning shit and seeing what color smoke comes out.

Yeah yeah yeah... I know they weren't considered commandments (having been to Bible college and all)... I was just throwing the term around loosely
