Weed and Church?

Do they mix? Is there anyone religious here that smokes? I was just wondering about everyone's opinion on this.

I'm a Christian and I smoke. I go to church every once in while, but God made weed for us to smoke, that's how I see it.

weed actually opened my eyes to alot of stuff..i guess i could still be considered christian but when i grew up my family was mad traditionalist and went to church all the time, it was fine at the time but now i just realized it was a cult type place that i was in most of my life...

i still believe in what a believe in, but i dont go to church anymore really..just smokin that pot all day, i enjoy it

There's nothing morally wrong with weed. There's evidence that some early Christians and Jews smoked it, and there are currently religions that regard cannabis as sacred, with good reason.

If you're a religious person, going to church while stoned would be amazing.

i go to church every other sunday and i'm involved with 2 evening groups at my church that happen once a week. i kinda feel bad for smokin and still goin there cuz several guys im good friends with used to be huge junkies, and morally it doesn't really seem right to me that i'm basically lieing about it all, but i look at it as i'm not 'abusing' bud and it's a part of a planet after all. it was used back in those times too so it's here for a reason

i would consider myself a christian although i dont go to church that often
but my family is alot more religious than i am and they know i smoke and have had nothing to say about the confliction btw the two
god made the earth pot grows on earth...... so seems good to me

I've been high at church before.

Church isn't bad, it can be a great meditative tool; as long as all of the people who are into the Pauline gospels keep their mouth shut.

It's always easy to spot a guy who's into the Pauline shit, they love to cry, and get really deep into some ridiculous rant that makes you feel sick.

Fuck I'd like to tell them to shut the fuck up when they get into it.

i'm not Christian, but it does say in the bible not to use substances that can lead to intoxication.

Might I ask which God your referring to? Your obviously saying the Bible is not the word of god, so you can't be christian...

Yes, but Jesus also encouraged people to drink wine.

Couldn't we apply it to weed? As long as we do it in moderation, keep ourselves from becoming slaves to it, and keep our actions straight, weed would be okay?
