Universe Nineteen

Short story I wrote this morning in the spirit of the wind and rain that I've had bouncing around in my noggin since I did some reaaallly great acid a few weeks ago. Please anyone who reads this don't steal it or anything, that would make me sad.

Universe Nineteen

The fluorescent lights hum timelessly in the room of eternity. Here there is no perception of the moment, everything is a moment. A day is a day no matter how long you look after the universe.
Every moment the clock ticks it reverts itself as to never tick at all. It hangs on the wall and is a testament to my universe. It is a testament to every functioning thing in my universe that has a perception of existence relative to how their cells age and die in a silent harmony relative to the length at which the celestial bodies they occupy rotate around their life-giving suns.
My universe has been on this desk for never and always. The gray paint which hangs on the walls has always been and has never been. The coffee cup in my hand is filled with nothing unless filled with everything.
The box I have is filled with universe nineteen and holds 211 billion galaxies all of varying sizes and shapes and colors. In every galaxy for universe nineteen there are only nineteen star systems which feature some functioning form of life. There are altogether 211 universes which occupy themselves in this building. There are 211 billion galaxies in every universe as everything ever in perceivable existence is, in fact, prime.
My job is to sit here and watch. It is a necessary attribute for any universe because without constant observation and a constant perception of its own existence it would very easily cease to exist. When such an event happens universes are reassigned to another God as universes will immediately begin themselves again so long as someone is watching.
The box itself is nothing exciting but is everything anyone has ever known. It is constructed with varying degrees of magnitude in certain points to keep a universe in balance with itself and to create the effect known to the life forms in the universe as gravity. Gravity is the great avenger, the great leveler, the great mediator, the provoker of death, the giver of life, the starter of wars and the starter of everything my universe could ever know. I have no control over any event, any cataclysm or climax or lack thereof in my universe. I do not control the atoms suspended in eternity which create the affect of a bonding universe, I do not control any magnetism or any resulting event thereof. I control the existence of universe 19 only because it controls me.
Some life forms get confused when it comes to my responsibility in their reality. There are life forms in all respects which believe I do not exist; others who claim to know I cannot exist, still others who send messages to me in hopes I will have an effect in their lives. Still there are even more delusional living things who insist I talk to them and show them ways which they think they do not know. The truth is, I am not responsible for anything other than making sure that what they perceive always exists and always will exist. I have no bonds emotionally to my universe. I feel no remorse on its part and the feelings are mutual.
For the intents and purposes of my own reality, this universe is reflexively a prison of my own mortality. The life forms which occupy the star systems of the galaxies of my universe are destined innately from the moment of perceivable conviction with a free will unlike that of anything any God could ever be granted. I have only a will and am bound by a hardwired cognizance for eternity. I am only mortal but can never escape the bonds and ties and chains this universe exerts on me. I can only die if I choose to end my universe as subsequently my very existence would cease to be eternal and would be an unknown. The universe would begin itself anew inside the cages of a magnetic box but I would have been dead forever and always.
Prison is not a pleasant place to be. There is no freedom in a world with no free will. This text is itself hardwired into my mind and has always existed there. It has always existed on this paper. I did not make the choice to create the text or to create these thoughts in my mind. It must be understood that because this has always existed there could not have been a point in which a God could choose whether or not to make a decision as to create something because if something is an eternity there can be no point of decisive creation.
It is because of this my own reality will end with the ceasing of all sensory responses of perception in regards to acknowledging the existence of my universe, universe nineteen. Everything is nothing and will always be nothing. It was always known that it would end this way and it always has ended this way.
Goodbye, universe nineteen.
