Married Christians have the best sex. FACT

Well yesterday in religion class we were watching a Catholic propaganda film, more specifically a presentation by this Catholic woman on abstinence. She was just so clever and figured out such a simple way to decide if you should be having sex or not! "Are you married?" is the only way to answer the former question! However she neglected to recognize that humans are not the only species on the earth and news to her, we aren't the only species on the planet having sex! But besides abstinence being a really lame idea (IMO, if you want to wait until you're married, go for it, but to say that decision has anything to do with god is just really annoying and ignorant) she presented a peice of information that just about sent me bouncing off the walls.

"They did a study at [such & such] and you know what they found? Married Christians have the best sex!"

Thankfully more students besides myself recognized the sheer stupidity in this comment and about half the class started laughing. After the movie my teacher got defensive and interrogated me (b/c I'm the most outspoken one ) as to why I "found that so funny." I told her, "So basically married Christians have AWESOME sex, but those Buddhists, those Muslims, those Jews, THEIR SEX SUCKS!!!" Everyone laughed at this point in agreement with me. My teacher told me, "You haven't even seen the study. You're saying this study is wrong and you haven't even read it!"

What the fuck needs to be read? The concluding statement that married Christians have the best sex is really a stupid conclusion. I first brought up the point as to how the hell you measure how "good" sex is. I sarcastically reasoned that sex w/ a condom probably lasts longer, and therefore sex with a condom is the best sex! She eventually asked me, "What does Christianity even have to do with it?"

"THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I'M TRYING TO SAY. WHAT THE HELL DOES BEING CHRISTIAN HAVE TO DO WITH GOOD SEX?" I thanked her for agreeing with my point and sat down.
Some people are just really frustating...

so.... you guys agree? Do you have to be married AND Christian to have the "best" sex? Can anyone even explain what the fuck that means? I was under the impression that all sex was good sex

Yes, religion class. I'm 18. Yes I'm an atheist in a Catholic school; it's made me rethink the idea of Hell, and I've come to the conclusion Hell is going to a catholic school. My school is run by fascist assholes without a care for justice, only the stupid ACT scores the students earn to make our school look good. zOMG our school average is a 28 tell the world!!1!1 To illustrate this point, I point to my principal's comments on an article about the recent construction my school is in the midst of.

"We have an excellent school with excellent faculty and staff and very, very bright young people. But, to maintain that, we need to constantly challenge ourselves, and that's in effect what we're doing here. That's not going to continue to happen unless we have the facilities."

Why the fuck do they always feel the need to talk about ACT scores? They don't understand that no one gives a flying fuck except themselves. Maybe they're jealous that we're able to score much higher than they ever did?

Haha it came off more harsh than I intended, but I am sick of people saying complaining that I don't sound 18 and offering nothing to the threads. People need to stop being the age police, really it's annoying. The moderators and admins are more than capable of handling that aspect of the rules. I get more comments that I'm not 18 now than when I really wasn't 18 before this past summer!

Judging from the size of their families, catholics and mormons must be 'porn stars for the lord'. Catholics are more fetish oriented, while the mormons prefer group action. I think Jesus is pretty hot for the baptists too, they're always 'going down' for each other.

So for one, they haven't had sex until marriage so when they're married and new to it it's more exciting and pleasurable, two, they haven't yet had sex with their partner many times over already (unlike most people) so that keeps it fresher for longer, and three, I believe true christian aren't technically supposed to masturbate, so if your spouse was and is your only source of sexual satisfaction ever, its going to be more exciting at first and also for longer.

I'd be surprised if the majority of Christians actually wait until marriage to have sex. And I'd also be shocked to find that Christians don't masturbate.

I find it hard to believe that Christians have the best sex, just because I don't understand how that study would be conducted. Did they just interview masses of people and have them rate their own sexual escapades? Maybe married Christians believe their sex to be better because they hold sexual intercourse in such high regard, that it's always an intimate expression of love and a gift from god. Whereas to others, it's just a good time.

Yes, but you could do all of these things and still belong to another Religion. Being Christian has nothing to do with it. I see your points, but there's a breakdown in the logic of assuming these things means you are Christian.

The problem is that you're in a Catholic school, which means when it comes to religion they teach a theological approach rather than an academic approach. In other words, Catholicism is the only right way and anything that contradicts it is incorrect.
