Nightline Debate: Way of the Master vs. Rational Response Squad

This is a debate that took place on ABC between Kirk Cameron and Ray Comfort of The Way Of the Master, and Brian Sapient and Kelly (no last name?) of the Rational Response Squad. The question that was asked was "Does God Exist". It was pretty interesting and I decided to share it with the S&P forum to get everyone's thoughts on the debate. It is interesting to note that Ray Comfort said he could prove the existence of God without speaking of faith or the Bible, and then both Kirk and him spent most of their time speaking about the Bible as proof for the existence of God. At any rate, I hope people find this stimulating and interesting, I know I did.

Note: There are 11 videos in this post, so those of you who are on dial-up may have speed issues with the thread. In my opinion the Rational Response Squad won the debate, hands down. Who do you think won the debate? Again, I hope you found the videos interesting and I await some good discussion.

The way of the master site is just.. great. Amazing. Best intro ever. Kirk Cameron asking me to 'bypass my intellect'. I still remember when he told me about how they made back to the future 2+3, so he knows his shit tight.

I love it when Kirk talks about how he used to be an atheist and a supporter of evolution, then everytime he mentions evolution he clearly shows his lack of understanding on the subject. It was an interesting debate, I would have liked to have been there!

im glad you find that so amusing. well, kirk cameron "had the world by the tail", and obviously had fame and fortune. he explained how he didnt need to believe in such a "fairy tale". though, he began to question the possibility of this deity. now, look where he is now. he is a humble servant of God. i think thats simply amazing!

That was just subjective belief about how to view the absolute perfection behind God's work. Silly example maybe, but still he had a point. If you want to see God, look at how perfect things in nature are. I mean down to the point that they exist as nothing but purpose. Like clouds, they bring rain and clean the air plus put on a show that changes all the time. That is God.

I would agree with that statement.

Though, WayoftheMaster did say (citation needed ) that they did the debate simply to get some preaching time in. Sadly, they did a piss poor job against the piss poor atheists.
