are we in control?
Theories of uncontrol life....destiny, sexuality, preferences and likes...Too many times have i heard that these are not a choice that we make.
If these are not in our hands, where does choice begin? Where does it end? Are we drones like the bee? Or the computers we think to command? doe the TV really control us?  does my making of this thread a choice based on what ive seen? or was it inevatable? share your views.

The TV controls you if you sit without blinking through the commercials...
Money controls you if you are afraid to spend it... And the quest for greater understanding controls you if you can't stand the thought of dying before you gain it. Sooooo, 1) Buy TiVO. 2) Gamble.  3) Understand that the only thing to really understand it that you won't understand it all in the end.  |

Control... well... I dont think we have control... control seems to be an artifical feeling to me... i guess i just hate control. Let someone/thing/god control me, im having a great time in this life.

i think its genetics? our brains are all different in little ways, sometimes big ways. and our brains are the mainframe as to how we think, being gay is not a choice, its genetics, criminals have been shown to have different brain patterns than, well.. non criminals. i dont know if this made sense, i just woke up :P

i think we have total control personally i dont believe in destiny but i do believe in karma so i think we have the the ability to choose but every choice wil affect us in an either good or bad way some time in the future

it comes down to nature vs nurture. if someone is raised in the ghetto they are more likley to be ghetto beaters. they arent born ghetto beaters. this applies to sexual prefrence, language ect..
karma and reincarnation explain this stuff. i like to think we have a choice. destiny is boring. i mean we are all destined to revert back to our original forms as space dust and energy, thats destiny, its inevitable. but if i want to do something i have the choice to or not to do it. i could put this smile face here  or i couldnt. but i did, either way its a choice.
