Nah.

Here's a better question: "Do you believe in a beforelife?" It's funny people always wonder where we're going but not where we came from.

Religion is very interesting. The reason that it is so "taboo" is that people know nothing about it. There are reasons why we practice the way we do or have the traditions that we do.

When I was growing up as a kid, I just went with the flow. (My family is Jewish). When we had a holiday dinner I would just sit there and eat only knowing that this is a holiday dinner not WHY we are celebrating this holiday.

Over the years my curiosity has gotten the better of me and all I can say is that religion is some deep stuff. I never looked at my religion like I do today. Knowing that I am keeping traditions alive that my great great great great ancestors started is amazing.

Just my .02!

I'm pretty much agnostic. I dunno if there is a god(s), or an afterlife. I definitely don't believe in any of the Western forms of God. I can dig the Eastern concepts, but I'm still unsure. Why do you need to know this "now"? Not thinking of offing yeself but the threat of an afterlife is all that will stop you?

i guess i'm agnostic.

i don't know a thing in terms of the existence of a higher power, or an after life or anything.

so why base my entire life following something i don't know.

especially when you are born into a religion.

i was catholic, but k-10th grade in catholic schools ruined that for me.

especially theology. i had a priest who was a royal prick, and would give me SOOO much shit. man of god my ass. i guess i egged him on a little with my expressing beliefs in islam and buddhism(mainly to piss off the catholic priests who taught at my highschool, but also just to get an idea of other religions) the idea of exploring other religions pissed this guy off, so it was an easy card to play.

in what way is religion taboo, and how does lack of knowledge of religion cause that?

I've always viewed my, and others, beliefs as irrelevant...because they are. I don't believe in anything. I speculate and I find many interesting possibilities...but I don't believe. ...that might not make sense

i've always been really concerned with the concept of an afterlife and i really hope that there is one, and lately the discovery of near death experiences and whatnot is keeping my hope alive in that. i don't know if i'm more preoccupied with it than other people, but it's definitely something i've been striving in vain to determine ever since i hit around 13.

I have studies HEAVILY into christianity and quite a bit into buddhism. Must say, im still atheist Though Buddhist are actualy Agnostic, maybe even atheist (hard to say exactly)...

People say its truth, but without evidence, its opinon. So my opinion is there is no god.

I've always had a nack for reincarnation... I don't think the buck stops anywhere, the soul is reborn anew.
