These two are from me trying to simplify a concept I was thinking about. If there is a truth yet we do not agree on it- it is lost and has yet to be found. Someone may have already found it- but cannot lead another to it. So it becomes a personal truth.

The first statement I came up with involves God being connected with us and being with us always.

"As confused as we are, God understands"

This is not to say He cares though, just that He knows about it and feels it.

It's not my best work but I think it's good enough to post:

"No matter how lost the truth is- it's somewhere waiting to be discovered"

"An Atheist and a Christian face off in a frenzied debate, but the trick is they both happen to be licensed to carry concealed weapons. In the middle of their saliva spitting volley across each other's faces, the debate turns volatile, someone decides that life doesn't mean shit--because of God or no God--and pulls their pistol. BLAM, BLAM, BLAM their guns go blazing. The other desiring nothing more than to survive the foolishness of the moment commits utterly. But both are killed instantly in a flourish of hot steel and chemical reactions.

A moment passes, and both wake up in hell screaming simultaneously, "WHAT THE FUCK?!?!"

Huineng's flag

Two monks were watching a flag flapping in the wind. One said to the other, "The flag is moving."
The other replied, "The wind is moving."
Huineng overheard this. He said, "Not the flag, not the wind; mind is moving."

Of the two monks, Wumen says they were trying to buy iron; Huineng, out of compassion, gave them gold instead. This koan demonstrates the realization that in naming an object one may cloud one's understanding of the true nature of mind by falling into externalization and believing that the true nature of the flag, the wind, and the mind are different. Hui Neng always taught the One Vehicle Buddhism of One Mind which teaches that wisdom (sanskrit: prajna) comes from the Essence of Mind and not from an exterior source.

Last night I looked upon the stairs
And saw a man who wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I really wish he'd go away

Really and truly, guys, there's no such thing as enlightenment. But you wont understand that until you reach enlightenment. Are wisdom and enlightenment the same thing?, yes. So stop looking for either of them and you will have them both.

I don't know why but that makes me think of a poem I read..

Code:
Of course I tried to tell him
but he cranked his head
     without an excuse.
I told him the sky chases
     the sun
And he smiled and said:
     "What's the use."
I was feeling like a demon
     again
So I said: "But the ocean chases
     the fish."
This time he laughed
     and said: "Suppose the
          strawberry were
               pushed into a mountain."
After that I knew the
     war was on--
So we fought:
He said: "The apple-cart like a
		broomstick-angel
	  snaps & splinters
			old dutch shoes."
I said: "Lightning will strike the old oak
	  and free the fumes!"
He said: "Mad street with no name."
I said: "Bald killer! Bald killer! Bald killer!"
He said, getting real mad,Young Poets
	  "Firestoves! Gas! Couch!"
I said, only smiling,
"I know God would turn back his head
If I sat quietly and thought."
We ended by melting away,
     hating the air!

How can you reach something that doesn't exist... Perhaps enlightenment is ineffiable? Because that was a very contradictory, yet you seem to understand it somehow.
