are we all cannibals?

i'm holding a deep conversation with my friend about god and everything else universal, and he mentioned that the dirt eats the human material, and is consumed from plants, which goes back to us. Hard to explain, but this made me think that all of us are cannibals. Opinions?

Not cannibals in the morbid sense where we attack and kill one another for food. But, it does make sense to me.

Everythings connected. All just different arrangement of atoms. So, we eat the plants and animals that may have eaten plants which grew in the soil our ancient ancestors died and were absorbed by...plausible to me.

I've ate my fair share of humans...

it made sense because of the similarity of words, but not everyone does cannabis, so either way we're not cannibals in the fact that we do cannabis

Cannabis does grow from the soil that the human bodies rotted in.

lets do a 'mind experement'

lets pretend that i dump an 8oz glass of pure water into any major river of the world. and i wait a few years. i then go to any ocean of the world and i take up another 8oz glass of salt water.

how many molecules of water will be the same in both glasses?

answer; about 1million h2o molecules will be the same.

whats the moral of the story? its a big closed circle. we are all eating recycled others.

so under ur definition of cannibal (which i totally disagree with), we are all cannibals.

the term food web is not quite right. sure there is a web, but its a web that is embedded within a circle that falls around itself. no beginning, no end, just webbing embedded within our atmosphere.

Planet Earth is all an ongoing cycle; we're all stuck here and everything is part of a closed environment. You could think of it like a giant bio-dome. Most people are treating it like shit, though, without realizing that they're directly affecting the future of mankind.

When it works, I don't think the cycling system is cannibalistic, I think it's beautiful.

We're all composed of comsic space dust.

Everything we love and hold dear was at one time particulate matter orbiting a star in a vast, empty region of the universe.

It's comforting to know that no matter how we fuck up this planet, we and the planet we abuse will eventually be returned to that dust.
