Unhappy Help!

i got a new plant growing about 10 inches tall and the bottom leaves are starting to turn yellow-brown, and my stem is turning purple-red. Its not too close to the lamp but its in a really small container and i think that might be why, but im not too sure.

hi there well it could be loads of things up are u under feeding it,saturated medium, low light levels these could contribute to yellowing of leaves ur stems reddinin sounds like lack of nitrogen are ur leaves brown or yellow? yes but a good place to start id repotting it.
