can someone please tell me what is wrong with this 5 day old ak_48 plant. light burn? chemical burn ? or not enough nutes? im using a 26 watt cfl 6500k 3 to 4 inches away on a 18/6 lighting schedule, also using half strength miracle grow all purpose with an n-p-k of 24-8-16 only watered it once with miracle grow, other than that just using tap water

i dont grow but watering it once in 5 days seems kind of low

watered it more than that , just used fertilizer once, also on a 18/6 light schedule

It might be nute burn, if I'm not mistaken sprouts/seedlings don't need nutes for the first 14 days of their lives. They get a lot of their nutrition from the energy from their seeds and also any ferts that may be in your soil are usually enough to get them to 2 weeks of age.
You could probably add a very light fert like Fox Farms Big Bloom which has an NPK of 0.01-0.3-0.7, its more like a multivitamin than a fertilizer. The miracle grow fert is very strong for such a baby. I would flush the soil with 3x the amount of water. (For example: if you are growing in a 1 gallon pot, flush with 3 gallons of water).

Also, what is the pH of your tap water? Do you know the pH of your soil? What type of soil are you using?

not sure what the ph of my tap water is, bought a cheap ph meter, the probe type not digital and according to it, its about 6.5 on the the acid side. as far as the soil, i used a cheap potting soil and mixed sphagnum peat moss with it. going to try to flush it with distilled water. thanks for letting me know about the ferts for a young plant cause i soaked the seeds in a slight mixture of miracle grow to get them to germinate and im probably lucky they even sprouted at all. i`ll post a pic in a few days after i flush it. thanks bro!

u started it in that soil huh?
if u start seeds soil it can burn them its better to germ then in a grow plug or paper towel.
seedlings do not need food untill a few weeks they have all the food they need for the first week or so then get it from the soil, u dont really need to feed them till all the food is used up.
a good soil will feed a plant for 1-3 months depending on the soil and how fast they grow...
remember to feed the soil not the plant what that means is that the beneficials in the soil eat up all the fertilizers and nutrients in the soil and produce food for the plants
oh and let ur tap water sit for a day, chlorine will kill all the beneficials (good bacterial)

no, i started it in paper towels but i used a slight solution of miracle grow to wet the paper towels. i`ll use regular water in the future. i flushed it last night with spring water and it looks much healthier today, at least the new growth. thanks for the info!

Definitely nute burn, seeds have all the nutes they need for 2 weeks, they just need light & water to get going.

its gonna grow slower then normal, the water leaves died off to early and they have all the food in them just give it fresh water till u see true leaves (full 5 set fan leaf) then u can start giving it 1/4 stenght food then up it once it gets biger, if u see signs of a dificiency (yellowing is the most common) feed it a little more
a good schedule to start with is feed every 4 watering and work from there, if its a true indica its gonna eat more... this is just general info research it
