Blue mystic . . . Not blue???

I am on day 57 of 12/12 of my blue mystic grow and I am wondering when they will start to turn blue? Does anybody have any experiance with this strain and the color-changing properties? Am I just being impatient or is there something I may have done to the plants during the grow that will prevent them to change colors? I hav grown the BM a couple times its more of a blue hue,to me btween the dark green leaves and the heavy crystal formation on them sorta gives it a blue hue to the plant that was my take of it anyway

They are seeds I got from a seed bank. Would that make a difference?

Not 100% on this but lower night time temps during flower helps "colored " strains achieve their color.

How many due u hav flowering? There r different pheno's,,i kept a pheno that had a short flower time,,to me under my Hps it seem to have a blue hue,,,this pic is under normal lite

I have heard that too, my buddy did an outdoor grow once and the temps at night would drop to like the 50s and his plant turned purple! I just installed an air-cooled hood with an exhaust fan so temps might be cooler, but at least more consistent.

I have 3 that are almost ready to harvest (day 58 of 12/12) and 5 that are about a week in 12/12. They are all under a 360watt HPS bulb with a couple of CFLs for supplement. What are phenos btw?

I look at my plants under the HPS and they look so yellow and all of the color seems washed out to me. When I look at them under just the CFLs or ambient light, their red hairs become much more pronounced and the crystals sparkle a lot more than under the HPS. Go figure.

I guess since this is my first grow I should be lucky they are healthy and happy, I was looking forward to having some blue shit tho.

Has anyone seen this Blue Mystic Grow thread before? BLUE MYSTIC BUD SHOTS!

Is that plant the exception to the rule or is that what B Mystic would look like under perfect conditions?

if there seeds there not always gonna be 100% the same plant ur used to growing
seeds like all living embryo have resesive genes, and other hidding genetics, sometimes the ones u do not want to come our do, like a blue strain not turning blue.


and for those of u that ur plant turned purple due to a temp drop during dark period, that thats actualy a phophorus (p) lock out, with p dificiencys the leaves and nug turn purple, looks pretty but this will surpress ur plants ability to grow nugs (its yeild will be less)

That makes a lot of sense, I feel a little better knowing that it might not be my fault. I felt like the reason they weren't changing was because of something I had done to the plants.

I'll tell my buddy about the phosphorus lock out next time I see him!

when the plants turn purple... its not always a p lock out, some strains out there are actually purple, just like ur blue mystic turns blue
(i dont want people thinking i dont know what im talking about, if i say all purple is a lock out or dificiency)
