Re: Brown Spots on plant, with Pictures Please Help!

Hey
more pictures, it's now on all 4 of the plants, albeit only a little bit on the bg ones.

I've discovered through a lot of reading that it's very very probably a Mg def brought about by a calcium lockout.

We have very very high levels of Calciumin the water here.

They've had a drink of bottled water tonight with nutes (inc Mg) and they'll get epsom salts at the weekend or whenever they need their next drink.

I think they'll recover and be ok.

J

i warned about table salt and sea salt because some people just dont know that the salt they put on food is totally different from epsom salt they just see the word salt and think its all the same just different grain sizes. Anyway its nice to see you have narrowed down the problem. The first time i had a mg problems i was freaking out thinking i had some kind of mold i ended up cutting off the brown spots and washing the grow room down with bleach and water. Oh the joys of being a newbie grower. It wasn't until i got hold of the grow bible did i realize it was a lack of mg still washing the grow room down wasn't so bad because it was so clean in there u could eat off the floor.

It's definitely Mg! But it did open my eyes to just how much you don't know.

First off, get your pH right, I mean digital meter right. Then get the epsom salts on there, I've now watered them twice and they're fine.

The spots have stopped developing and the new growth is showing no spots at all.

Try and find out about your water, if it's calcium locking out the Mg then you could be in danger of putting too much in!

Are you letting your tap water sit out 24 hours before use? If not the chlorine in the water will cause nute lock.
