Any help appreciated -- Any experts?

First time growing and I've currently got two plants that are LST, one of which looks beautiful (GDP) and the other lets just say isn't up to par (Platinum Kush). Both are on the same feeding cycle, the PK, however, had what I think was a salt build up so I gave it a week flush. Both plants are in the same environment and treated identically I am lead to believe that the PK might have a root bound issue. I also read somewhere that when LST a plant, when it gets older the fan leaves on the main stem (not the ones on the stalks off the main stem) will start to die off. This forces me to think it is one of these two. If it is root bound, what is the most gentle way of transplanting. They are one week into flowering

Re: Need help-- possible rootbound?

Any ideas? sorry for being impatient, but i would rather fix the problem sooner than later.

I take it that I may not have described the problem well enough considering the amount of views vs posts.

If they are identical, how could one be root bound, but not the other?
I think thats why theres a lack of answers, everything can not be identical, if one displays problems, but the other is healthy.
Somehow - Something got out of whack with that one plant, or possibly, it caught a disease.
If you still intend to transplant it, do it like this:

About half way through, is the transplant, though the whole article is pretty interesting

Re: Any help appreciated -- possible rootbound?

You need to give the details of your grow

PH?? Before you start doing anything, you need to test your runoff
Soil?
Nutes and schedule?
How many gallons did you flush with?
lights? (How far away? )

The meaning behind what I said was, I have treated both completely identically. One is healthy and one is not. I was hinting that maybe this is due to genetic factors such as the PK's roots grew faster and or bigger; something beyond my control to help affect.

Although I plan to in the future, I am a broke guy and cannot really afford any of the spectacular growing equipment (cheep ones at that too). All I can say is, I have a total of seven 25 (average) watt CFLS and feed the plants around 250 mL of water every second day with nutes every second feeding. Theres decent exhaust and intake.

As the title says any help appreciated, this post was mainly to find out if the plant has symptoms of root bound. I really do not look forward to a plant dieing so I am trying to find out ASAP. So back to my original thoughts, is this symptoms of rootbound or just normal activity of the plant?

Re: Any help appreciated -- possible rootbound?

What I'm trying to tell you is we need the info. We got the lights, food. what kind of soil is it, what kind of nutes exactly and MOST IMPORTANT. a ph reading!!

I know you want a simple answer so here it is. It's probably not root bound. Unfortunately, the only way to troubleshoot this is to start from the beginning with a ph test.

It's probably locked out or burnt.

Ty for the info. As I said, I don't have any equipment for my grow. It is merely to learn the ropes. I know that this is a complex question that many of you cannot answer due to insufficient data being presented, but I am just looking for some educated guesses on what the problem could be. Thanks again.

To go deeper in my assumptions of the sickness, I read on this forum and others that yellowing and dieing of the big fan leaves on the main stem (at least) may happen during flowering, LST, and is also a symptom of rootbound.

As for
Nutes: Sugar Peak (veg) 3-1-5 (flower in use now) 2-4-5
Soil: Kellogs --no nute rating on the bag
Just remembered that for the water that I use, I use tap water that has been left out for a day or two.
