Too many people on here that are posting pictures of 1 or 15 day old seedlings and asking "whats wrong yellowing day 8...)

Ive started a lot of seeds in my time I prefer seeds , outside you should always plant from seed
older clones in my experiance just dont seem to do as well as a fresh seedling
never had one seedling ever die on me,(bullshit tray of 50 once outside freak rainstorm washed them away..saved 6 still) anyways

*-never ever use any nutrients of any kind untill the plants clearly are in need for it , the shell the seed comes in has enough proteins and such for the seed to survive its birth

Germination should be done in wet and half squeezed paper towels inside a Tupperware container
-once the tap root has begun i plant into a 4inch pot Dont compress your soil and add some perlite for drainages , i dont premoisten the soil find it compresses it

-seedlings are easily over watered/under watered at first . i suggest using a spray bottle for the first 2 weeks to spray soil and plants down,
-check after the third node for it to have reached the bottom of the pot, once it does you have to transplant it

-After the 4th node if neeed! you may give them some Ferts
- this is when i will put blood meal in the soil, 1 teaspoon for 1.5 litre its is organic with high absorption rate i prefer it to its chemical cousins because of the slow realease and it lasting for weeks-
-Recommend worm poop as early fert to get them use to N


All you need to do now is watch them closely around the 5-7th node you will see it show its sex, that is when you are in adult stage

-after they show sex give them a shot of a 20-20-20

There may be better ways this, generally produces from seed to adult in 3-4 wks with Hid, or 5-7 wks with Floro,

I would personally leave out the paper towels. I soak seeds overnight and then plant right into the soil. But that's just me...I like to handle them as little as possible.

I think it's over/under watering that is the biggest problem.

Not everyone just naturally has a greenthumb. Some people it takes tons and tons of trial and error to learn. And then there's those who just can't grasp the art of being a farmer of the herb. Can't fault them for it

No but we can make it as easy as possible for them, i also soak seeds overnight in a ziploc but have found it didn't work any faster , works great for sunflower seeds and pumpkins
