| Bring the WROD | 1st Grow. 8 Days old and a little yellow. Pics
My plant is 8 days old and the newer leaves are a little yellow. Here's my info: What type of medium; soil grow What brand and type of soil? FFOF Indoors or outdoors? Indoors / Rubbermaid What strain? Bagseed How old are the plants? 8 Days What type of lights and how many watts? CFL 4x26 Watt 6700K CFL's How far from the lights? 2 inches What is your watering frequency and source of water? Every other day. Distilled water. What, how much and when was it fed? NPK? None yet. FF Trio Pack What is the medium/runoff pH and PPM if in hydro? Don't know (I know, get a meter, ok) What are the temps and humidity in the room? Average temp is 81*F. 40% humidity What size pots? 6" peat pot Any bugs? Look real close. No When doing my research into growing I read not to use nutes during the 1st two weeks, but I'm not sure if this is just from over watering or some early nute deficiency. The Fox Farms feeding schedule says I should be using a ratio of 2 Tablespoons per gallon of water in the 1st week, but everything I've read on here says not to use any nutes during the 1st two weeks of the grow, and then to start out at 1/4 strength. This is my 1st grow, and I don't want to screw anything up. Thanks for your help. Here's the pics. Yesterday ![]() Today ![]() What do you think GC? What should I do here? |

Yeah dude. I use that tester, and a GH brand one, all the time...they work well enough, fairly accurate, and the solution bottles last for-fuckin-ever. Nothin' compared to a truncheon or pen though You don't have to decipher any damn colors with those, heh. Thanks for the +rep!

| Bring the WROD | Re: UPDATE 10 days old! Ph Update: Ok, so I got the Ph tester at the pet store. Thanks again for that. Here's what I measured. Distilled water - 6.6 Distilled water w/ 1.5 tsp FF Big Bloom & .5 tsp FF Grow Big - 6.6 Run off from Distilled water (on plant #2) - 6.4 Bottle of Poland Spring - 7.0 I didn't measure the run-off Ph on the sick plant since I just watered her this morning. The other plant has the same peat pot, soil, water. So I went through the stickies and it would seem like the Ph is pretty much on target. Any other suggestions? |

Check the Ph of everything you give your plant, and the runoff, everytime, adjust as necessary. The sick plant may have a different Ph, you never know...wait for the Ph results before you do anything to correct the issues, I'd say, unless you just want to flush her now. Also, watering with nutes will most likely lower the runoff Ph, maybe by a whole point or more, keep that in mind.

| Re: UPDATE 10 days old! Edited the post above, check that. Wait for Ph results... unless youd like to flush it, in that case go ahead with the distilled water.
