Spider mites - impervious to pain!

Hey.. I have been aware of the Grasscity forums for awhile.. never found a real reason to register. Anyways,

Recently, within the last 2 months, there has been a consistent issue with spider mites. At present time, there isn't any Neem oil, which I have heard and read is great for dealing with them.

Does anyone have some general opinions or tips on controlling them. From what I understand, with the way they reproduce, the miticides may kill the living mites, but not the eggs, which leads to this cycle of annoyingness.

Thanks

Neem works OK but works more as a repellant than anything. Also spidermites will develop immunities often times to stuff you use tryin to get rid of them. So it's best to rotate whatever you use in attempts to control them.

There is tons of stuff on the market. But also making the enviroment hostile to them is a good idea. Cooler temps and high humidity, they don't like. Lots of wind as well.

In terms of miticides choose any number of products. But be careful, some are good to use on cannabis, could hurt/burn your plants and even kill them

Re: Spider mites - impervious to pain!

Thanks.

I think the problem is likely with the environment. Where I'm at, this summer, we developed a very hot spell for several weeks consecutively, and it was difficult to keep the temperature down. Hopefully now that we're getting into the Fall and Winter months that will be easier to deal with.

Is there any advice on getting rid of the eggs? Most insecticide we've used only deal with the living mites
