overwatering? nute overdoes?

Hello and thank you in advance for the help. This is my first grow and so far it has been going well, but this morning when I went to check on them I noticed what seems to be wilting, yellowing of the leaves and ridges in the leaves. I water ever other day with an organic fertilizer in the water, which I apply with every other watering. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Nimboden

They look droopy. That means your overwatering. When my plants where vegging I only watered like every 2 or 3 days. Go a few days without watering and Ill bet they'll perk up.

Anything I can do to speed up the soil drying process?

Thanks for the help,
Nimboden

Get a few fans blowing on em, which you should be using already anyways.

Re: overwatering? nute overdoes?

green man is right--- when they are in veg they don't need as much water as when they are flowering... go very very light on the ferts--- like 1/8 strength when they are that young. Gradually increase your fertilization. then you will have no question as to whether it is nute nuke of over watering.
When i was on my first couple grows, i would baby the plants too much and do things like overwatering and over-fertilizing. Just be patient and let nature do it's thing my friend. Don't try to hurry your plants... let them take their time and they will let you know what they need... you can easily research this on this site---- happy growing

Re: overwatering? nute overdoes?

Just an update. One of the plants seems to be getting worse. (see attached). so can we say that this is a culprit of overwatering?

Thanks,
Nimboden

Overwatering and overnuting.

Once they dry out a bit you might want to consider transplanting up a pot size and kind of hitting the reboot button.

Water only when the soil is dry (up to second knuckle for quick way to gauge) and start fertilizing at 1/4 strength recommended to start and step up gradually from there.

Also to help those poor plants survive, I'd recommend getting some 3% hydrogen peroxide. Mix about 1/2 a cup to a gallon of water, and the next time you water, use that with NO nutes. It will give the roots extra oxygen and help them recover quicker.
