curing smells like grass cuttings

man i grew some sour dee , smelt hella good grew good beautyful plant now i cut it down and trimed it 2 days ago and it smells like fukn grass. anything i can do to make it smell better? can send pics if someone could tell me how .

You're of course drying them prior to curing, right?
There is a difference...its not a big difference but none the less its there.

Yea thats what happened to my crop a few weeks ago to. After drying/curing for a while though they started to get their dank smell back. You have to give them a good cure though, a good 2 to 3 weeks.

It's pretty normal for the finished product to smell like wet grass when you first dry it. Curing brings it all back

I don't know where I got this info from but keep it in the dark or the reaction of light & chlrophyl (sp) will keep it smelling like a fresh cut lawn.

Curing means to loosely pack your (dried) bud into some mason jars to about 75% full. Seal the jar and place it in a dark room. Let them "cure" for about 2-3 weeks, checking on them once a day by opening the lip and replacing the air. Make sure they are not growing any funky mold or anything.

curing is the process which allows Inner deep locked in moisture to move to the outside of the bud where it can evaporate away. Helping your nugs achieve a nice smooth, not harsh smoke. That's tastes and burns great

Take a bud, hold it with both hands at eye level and bend both ends of the stem downward. If the stem creases without splitting, then it will require additional drying. If the stem snaps cleanly in two then it has been over-dried. The optimum moisture content of 15% has been achieved when the central stem half breaks i.e. the outside of the stem will split but the central core of the stem will hold it all together.

If you inadvertently over-dry your bud, seal it in an airtight container with a fresh fan leaf and leave overnight--this will re-hydrate your weed.

This usually takes around 7 days to happen, but differs from batch to batch, so use the above method to test your bud out.

trim the buds well before drying....if lots of leaves are left on, your crop will tend to smell like grass/hay. pluck the buds from the branches before curing or the big hollow stems can funk up the odor.
