How to apply neem oil??

Hey GC just wondering if any of you guys can help me out- have some minor bug problems and i just picked up some neem oil from the store. What is the best way to apply the neem oil? should i try to avoid spraying it near the flowers? and i heard its best to do it in the early morning or late afternoon so you dont burn your plants. I was hoping to do it tonight so please help!

i use neem oil on my dog and my plants. Only use cold press neem oil. mix it with a water of p.h 6.5 (i just use my regular water distilled) and spray everything the leaves and stems the soil and the pot. don't use it for like 2 weeks before harvest. it smells terrible so use something like a 1 to 2 tsps per gallon ratio. and it stopes the lifecycle of pest it keeps the bugs from being able to lay new eggs then those eggs hatch and they eat the neem and they can't lay anymore eggs. so you have to do a couple sprayings for a week or two and be on the look out for pest. ONLY USE COLD-PRESSED NEEM hot pressed won't work.

Not sure what you mean by COLD-PRESSED and HOT-PRESSED. The Neem oil i bought just says Neem Concentrate (insecticide, fungicide, and miticide) for Organic Gardening. But i dont see anything that says cold pressed or hot pressed. and doing it in the late afternoon is the best time right?

I assummed you got it from a health foods store. you can get it and simply add it to water and use it in shampoos for people and animals and as a spray for bugs. so i just assumed you just got some not a special brand. and i always do it early in the morning just cause thats when i want to take care of my plants. its going to dry onto your plants and you have to rinse it off before harvest or you'll taste it. you have to keep looking for bugs though cause it dosen't kill them it stops them from breeding. i wouldn't spray it at night cause you don't want water sitting on your plant at night you'll get leaf rot. oh! and if you buy some at a health food store only get cold-pressed. cold-pressed has the active ingredient in it to stop the bugs.

i actually got it from lowes. So i should spray it anytime in the morning? would like 9am work? or does it need to be before the sun rises? thanks for all the help

and when i rinse them off should i just spray them lightly with a hose? that might be tough considering their is not a hose anywhere near them. their in the middle of some woods

this is simplier go to a health food store get Thera Neem Neem Oil 100% pure w Cold Pressed it has an eye dropper add two squirts to distilled water in a spray bottle shake and spray use all of it or throw it away. it smells really bad so don't spill the oil. but thats the simplest organic way to do it.

i guess you have to wait till the rain comes or bring a bucket. but if you use neem there will be a taste organic or not. so i don't know what you can do about it.
