Leaf canoeing

My outdoor plant twin (which happens to be a naturally two headed marijuana plant for some reason. she had no topping or fimming and was born with 2 main colas.) has a bad case of leaf canoeing on her third node for some reason. When I checked her at 8am this morning it wasn't like that but when I checked again at 9am it was like that. I live in south florida and the summer sun is EXTREMELY hot. Could this be the cause of this and should it be something I should worry about? I have never experienced it before.

Sorry this pic isn't real good:

Re: Leaf canoeing

first off thats awesom , a plant born with two heads is pretty cool i've never seen that before

i believe that the high temps are causing that canoe, the plant will raise its leaves like that to shield the soft tender parts of the leaves from the hot rays of the sun of light
i've personaly noticed this when my area was in the middle of a heat wave 95-100 f
i grow inside and when the temp droped back to normal so did the leaves .
i wouldnt worry about it too much your plant seems to be doing fine.

if they really start twisting that could be a ph problem

Re: Leaf canoeing

well the condition is now much much worse. the plants leaves where the canoeing occured are now crispy... and when i say crispy i mean crispy. the previously canoed leaves are now brownish and some of the leaves have rust spots, yet they are responsive to light as they still aim upwards to the light but they are crunchy on the spots where the canoeing first started occuring. i decided to move the plant indoors under 4 26 watt CFLs at a safe distance of 4 inches and at a temperature of 78-79.3 degrees which is much much much less stressful then the 90-100 degree temperatures of the summer south florida sun. i hope it works out

Re: Leaf canoeing

nah its been outside since it sprouted. thats why i was like what in the fuck. i pulled it back indoors and removed the burnt growth (the leaves that canoed actually burnt up the next day even tho i put the plant in the shade) it's pulled it back together and is looking well but im not sure if i should nurse it back outdoors

Re: Leaf canoeing

I think crispy leaves is a PH problem. I just sprouted 5 fem super silver (attitude) seeds. 1 sprouted retarded and never grew leaves past the first 2 cotylden or w/e they're called.

And one of the others is half-retarded. The first leaf set is deformed looking but the stuff newly growing in looks ok, havent killed that one yet.
