is this a ph problem?(pics)

ok so plant is about six days old here. using 4 26w daylight cfls in a waterfarm with rockwool and hydroton. currently ph stays at 5.5-6 but has to be corrected daily using general hydroponics ph down.gets up to about 9 daily. temps 78-82 with between 40-50% humidity.
could this be from the constant swings in ph? not sure what to do and this seems to be getting worse so please let me know what you guys think. thanks

Did you soak the rockwoll for a few hours in 5.0ph water? did you rinse your hytron for a few hours? Are you using bottled water or tap water? If tap water, did you let it sit out for a couple days to let the chlorine evaporate out? How big of a resevior are you using? The smaller the res, the more adjustments you will have to make especially when they get bigger. We need more info.

yes i soaked rockwool for 24hr in 5.0ph. rinsed hydroton for a few days before seeds arrived. just now started with distilled water but before was using tap that had sat out for 24hr. its a 2 gal res and it seems to have stableized a bit since swithching to the distilled.brought ph down to 5.8 last night and is still the same when i woke up. heres what she looks like today. i dont think its getting worse anymore but kind of hard to tell. i havent seen any growth from yesterday to today but that could be because roots are establishing themselves right now correct? plz all opinions or suggestions welcome.

I have my drippers set for three times a day for 15mins each time. Just spread them out, and don't water right before lights out.

I'm using a recirculating drip system.
