purple Stalk

A buddy of mine gave me these pics to get some info on them. The first plant is the one with the purple stem. The leaves are starting to yellow and stalk is purple. The second plant is the pictures from above the leave are startin to yellow also. He has them in MG organic gardening soil. The nuttriens on the back of the bag was like .10-.15-.10 . He says they are nirvana shortrider. What could be the problems???

it's most likely a nitrogen deficiency. The soil does have some fert's mixed in, but those will sustain your plant for only a few weeks. Sounds like you need to start a feeding schedule.
