probs w clones??

so i took some clones about ten days ago and they seem to be doing good (they are standing up straight and are starting to yellow a bit but i have not noticed any roots yet and the stems seem swollen at the base and i was wandering if they are to wet or if they could be rotting i took them in rockwool plugs

Re: probs w clones??

yellowing is normal so is the swelling at the stem, I tend to see this swelling and tiny nodules on the stem a few days before the roots break thru, be patient

Sounds like rooting is imminent...........patience....I have one strain that takes three weeks to root.....it's a bitch, but it's a killer strain.

Good luck!

Re: probs w clones??

i've read of people adding a very lite nitro feed to their clones so they dont get that unsightly yellowing

Re: probs w clones??

1 drop of superthrive in the water will keep them green if color is an issue

however adding nitrogen may burn the cuttings , the nitrogen even the superthrive will delay rooting, the the cutting is getting nutrients and feels no need to save its self by sprouting more roots
