Transplanted from ground to pot, wilting leaves

I transferred a plant from where it was, in a garden to a pot. I used good soil, looks like sifted top soil ad mixed it with potting soil. Its in a 5g bucket now and is probably about 4 feet tall...

I broke alot of the shoots, probably about 3. They are all being supported now and i did my best to get all the roots although im very doubtful i got them all. Its been in the bucket for about a half day now and as soon as the sun hit, it began to wilt. I have since moved it to the shade. No buds on it at this time but it is very close.

Will she make it? Sorry no camera to take pics either.

keep out of the sun for a couple days till she recover from the shock its in

soak the soil and I would add 2 drops of "SuperThrive" to the water the vitamin b1 compound greatly aids in transplant shock

it need not be covered just not direct sunlight

SuperThrive is available in most garden centers, or hardware stores

Re: Transplanted from ground to pot, wilting leaves

I have it in the shade still but it seems to be getting worse, the leaves at the top are beginning to turn crispy but they are still green. Most of the leaves that are wilting/dying are because on the stems that got broken. Should i cut my losses and start trimming?

It can take a 24-72 hours atleast to recover sometimes. Just let it chill. If it is hot outside, the heat can add to the stress as well.

Re: Transplanted from ground to pot, wilting leaves

Alright, it was like 85 out today. I knew that had to be part of the problem. Can they bounce back that well? Some are just completely drooping, but still green so i guess there is hope.

Thanks guys

Re: Transplanted from ground to pot, wilting leaves

your roots are not functioning at the moment but you might want to consider spraying your plants with a very mild fert solution or just ph'd water. keep them out of direct sunlight when they are wet but give them a chance to drink thru the leaves until roots kick in again.

good luck

Re: Transplanted from ground to pot, wilting leaves

Well, HomeDepot or the Hardware store did not have it. So i went with a Miracle Grow product called quick start. It says its for transplants, this good enough?

Re: Transplanted from ground to pot, wilting leaves

You have to be gentlr when you are learning roots. Once you have handled a few you get yur groove, The new soil IMO should be homemade so you know exactly what is in it (I use my own compost with a little bat shit and my own horse crap) . I use more perlite than most people because I feel it does not let the nutes over sat the roots, but i grow peyote too so I have good airy soil, I have been told too airy, but my plants love it.

I even set up a DWC Vs. soil same nutes (mnus soil) and my dirt plants are 3-5 times bigger than my dwc. bucket.

Blsh blsh --stoned.\\\

Superthrive is not a fert. ''''''''it is hormones. You do not need it if you have proper nutes.

Ok...tooo stoned to continue...damn bubblrivioud. lol thst meant bubblricious I think. Way to indica% for me...but my back does not hurt.

Re: Transplanted from ground to pot, wilting leaves

Why would you move them from the ground to pot?

If someone picked you out of a mansion by your ear and stuck you in a 1bed flat it would take you time to adjust too.

Id say survival rate is minimal. And hermi possibility is high too.
