i have a concern. the top of one of my plants is bent ( think 90 degree angle). there doesnt appear to be any tears on the outside, its just bent. is this something for me to be concerned about or will it still grow norally?

Re: bent/snapped stem

i seem to have had the same problem almost like a drooping leaf? my leafs droop when ther in the dark too much...well it might not be getting enough light once i put them in light they rise up alot as if a perfect plant...if your using cfl's then maybe thers a light leak...double check no tear? then its definitly the prob

Re: bent/snapped stem

thanks for the reply. i need to be more specific. the top of the plant was growing above the light and i tried to bend it back down. there is definitely no tear in the skin but it is bent at a 90 degree angle. probably fall further down but its resting on a fan leaf and yes i am a newbie, first time growing. trial and error, lessons learned kinda thing. what i want to know is should i leave it as it is or cut it off. thanks again for the reply

You can pretty much bend it however you like; look up some scrog grows or LST and you'll see some gnarly plants... mine are scrog and currently only 6" tall!

Re: bent/snapped stem

I looked at it today and the bud just turned and started growing towards the light, no problems. i'll have a cool shaped bud when its done. I might try to do a bonzai bud with my next plant. thanks for the info!

Re: bent/snapped stem

the bottom branch bullshit is annoying. i cut them off and it seemed to help the upper branches a lot. i guess its nutrients going to them and not the bottom stuff. I smoked what i cut off and got a pretty decent buzz and its still a month before harvest but im learning. its hard to wait for it to be done especially now that glands have appeared. patience was never one of my better traits. this is my first grow and im pretty happy with the results so far. ive learned quite a bit and am really looking forward to the next grow. still have about a month to go on this one
