| Help me identify this bug!
Well I noticed this little guy crawling around the bottom of my plants and being completely inept in the study of entomology I figured I would enlist the help of GC! A quick search of teh netweb leads me to believe this is a dung beetle and subsequently a good thing to have in the garden, but the striations on its back seem different than the pics I have seen and I would rather be safe than sorry. Any insights into the identity of this tresspasser are greatly appreciated. First pic is the culpret, link goes to dung beetle. http://www.dgsgardening.btinternet.co.uk/dungbtle.htm Last edited by Yowler; 07-18-2009 at 10:29 AM. |
