Sick first grow, small plant yellowing leaves

started off with good green leaves (bagseed), a week or so into growing started to turn yellow. growing these in MG garden soil, and got a little burnt. flushed them under lukewarm water or 20-30 mins and let drain. did this twice once again no the next day. the pic is of the plant about 3days after the flush still looking sad. i know now not to use MG, due to fert burn, but is there any hope, or should i just waste them and soak some more...

Re: first grow, small plant yellowing leaves

the little one looks to be making a recovery, but if that is your only plant the odds of it being female are not where you want them to be

I would keep it around but start some new seeds. You might want to try out some starter plugs like rapid rooters or coco coir instead this time around. After the plant has a leaf or two start to yellow, you can transplant it into some potting soil that has been flushed out real well. You shouldn't have any big problems using normal filtered tap water or bottled water, but as soon as they start to grow and you see any yellow, they need to be transplanted or they will start to show deficiencies.

Re: first grow, small plant yellowing leaves

ya, i got two other ones i started later, done transplanted them already, was able to get very little of the MG out and planted them in just plan-jane soil, no ferts. started to soak a few other good looking seeds, tonite will be 48hrs after soaking. will be planting them tonite. got me a little greenhouse/seedling house made out of a aluminum metal pan with plastic lid. does good and already had it...

got them growing under a 420Watt CFL 5700k, this thing is as big as a size 9 shoe!

just to get this right no ferts until the first round leaves fall off?

thx for the reply,
