first week flowering and already hitting the top of the HPS lamp

heres some pics to see, its bearly touching but still its head stressing it i can see the damage already.. what do i need to do? if i cut the tip off in the first week of flowering will i loose yield?

You're going to have problems for sure if this is only the first week of flowering, they're going to get even bigger man. You definitely don't want to chop the top of that off. Best bet would be to try and keep the plant tied down, but as I said before it's going to continue to stretch quite a bit over the next couple weeks, so you're in for quite a battle if you don't have a way to get that light higher.

It's low stress training time- you have plenty of room in there to tie all those branches down and spread it out under that light. Don't worry if a branch breaks either, it will be fine unless it rips in half. You can break the branches if they won't bend and the plant will be stronger than ever when it heals. You would just need to hold it up usually instead of holding it down. It's not hard, but you will need to practice working with the plant and getting to do what you want it to do.

Do you need some sort of example or do you know what I'm talking about already?
