over watering? help

my plant is 2 days since its sprout. the tips of the first real leaves are starting to turn yellow. my plant was in very warm weather and i have been watering it alot lately. like drizzling some drops every few hours so the soil is pretty wet. the plant was also in very hot weather for about 8 hours. i read that a plants leave tips can turn yellow if the plant is getting to much water. thats what im thinking.
what do you guys think?

sorry about the bad pics. best i could get

I dont think its overwatering. At an age that young you wanna keep it moist so the roots dont dry out. from now on i'd of course let it dry a little. It kinda looks like nute burn, so just keep an eye out for that: if the next set of leaves have any yellow, or if you dont think its growing as fast as it should.

Hell yea your overwatering the poor thing! At that stage water once a day twice at the most and i would say you dont need more than a quarter cup of water for it at a time right now. Back off and let the plant grow, dont smother and worry about it so much. Thats wat i learned works the best cause i use to have that same problem.

Re: over watering? help

make sure your soil dont have fertilizers inside it. it could burn the plant.

i got some seedlings in the 100 degree weather and they doing fine.
its all a matter of fertilizers / soil quality. and what your feeding it with.

organic soil + clean ph'd water is always ok.

Re: over watering? help

ya today i didnt water it at all. the tips are still yellow a bit. but it is still growing taller and the rest of the plant seems healthy. my other two seeds are in a different soil and havent been watered so much and they are doing fine.

the soil i am using this white widow is: Black Gold natural and organic potting soil with 0.05-0.0-0.0 fertilizer. should i switch soils for this early stage plant what with the fertilizer and all?

Re: over watering? help

update on the over watering.
i let the plant sit for a day and a half with no water. i gave it 1/4 cup of water today and we will see what happens i guess.

as far as i can tell there is no growth in the yello
wness, the yellow tip seems to have dried up a little and is kinda curled under a little. but the leaves are still growing bigger and the plant is growing taller.

any thoughts?
