nutrient burn outdoors

So I think I realized I have nutrient burn on one of my plants... yellow bottom leaves, I have another leaf on the plant that is semi spotted and another one starting to spot. My problem now is how do I take care of this? I don't want to have to flush this plant because we have been getting non stop rain like what seems to be the last 2 weeks. This has been the first sunny day in a while. I don't have pictures but will upload them within the next day or 2. Oh and one leaf is brown on the edge and starting to curl upwards.

Any suggestions? The top leaves look okay but they were drooping yesterday because of all the rain.

Re: nutrient burn outdoors

Providing it is over fertilized you would want to flush it. Wait to do this until the soil is dry over an inch deep and then triple amlount of wsater to pot size i.e one gallon pot, three gallons to flush.

Re: nutrient burn outdoors

it's outdoors though and it's been raining... just not enough to flush it all at once but too much to actually flush the plant because it has drooping leaves which I know is from over watering. There's not really a gallon size to the ground if you know what I'm sayin

Re: nutrient burn outdoors

ya they are in the ground It's worse now with browning throughout most of one leaf while another is seriously drooping with others growing lighter. Doomed plant? I'll throw pics up tomorrow as a forgot to bring my camera aka my crappy phone out with me again.

Re: nutrient burn outdoors

Hard to know if its doomed. How far up the plant is the damage?

Re: nutrient burn outdoors

well it's a small plant at this point... I root locked them because they were in too small of pots and being a newb it didn't dawn on me for a while that the size of the pots were the problem. As I can remember (cuz i dont have a pic yet), it was the bottom alternating leaves were yellow and the bottom 3 fan leaves were starting to really eat it hard. So the plant is about a foot tall, so it's a good portion of the plant IMO that has damage. I will check again tomorrow and take a picture.
