Sad Plant

Hi everyone,

I came home to find my plant like this today. I imediatly gave it some water which i hope will do the trick but if you guys have any other suggestions they would be much appreciated. I just started giving it fox farms tiger bloom and big bloom. It is under a 400w hps. I have another plant in there that is getting the same treatment and its doing great.

Thanks

Re: Sad Plant

You said you just started feed, but it sure looks over fert. Is the PH run off the same for both pots. What soil are you using?

Re: Sad Plant

my first thought would be either over fert, as Tbuds mentioned, or over watering. How much water have you been feeding it? are there drainage holes in the bottom of your pot?

Re: Sad Plant

Hey brother, that plant is over watered but its main issue in over fertilization. Here's a rule of thumb you might want to remember when working in soil: When in doubt flush it out. When you aren't sure of a plants problems go back to the basics yo. Flush that plant good, about three times the volume of the pot and let it sit for a few days. It might be too late but give er a shot huh?

Stay green.

Re: Sad Plant

Might want to check if its root bound, it might need a transplant.

Also, those new leaves at the top look good to me, I doubt the bottom ones are going to make a recovery, just focus on the new growth and make sure that stays healthy.

Shes in flowering??
I would just look at the bottom holes, if you see roots coming out she might have nowhere to go which is causing stress. I heard you could just poke your finger in and if there's a lot of roots then that might be a sign, but a sure way to tell is if you gently pull her from the pot and see the roots wrapped around the outside.
You probably wouldn't have to get something much bigger, when my plant was sick the transplant did just the trick and she was back on track in a couple days... granted she wasn't flowering at the time.
Not to mention (and people can correct me if I'm wrong please) but shes going to keep growing if you got her into flowering, so putting her into something bigger will be best before too many buds show up. It might slow her down a bit in the beginning but I would rather that than right in the middle of buds growing.

Edit.
Okay so shes flowering. I definitely suggest putting her into something bigger so you don't have to transplant her again. Maybe something twice as big as you probably won't want to have to transplant her again before harvesting.

Check her roots and let us know, there's tons of images online about what root bound plants look like so I'm sure you'll be able to tell in a jiffy.
