Massive Yellowing on Fan Leaves

Im gonna be short and sweet for you all... I apppreciate your time in advance.

*12 plants- (Mazar) under (2) hps 600watt sun systems

*using what i think is called dwc or bubble buckets 3 and 5 gallon buckets

* PPM's are all over the place (900 right now), ph is kept around 6

* general hydroponics nutes 2-1-3 for blooming right now

I think i've covered the basis......here's the sick pics

Re: Massive Yellowing on Fan Leaves

The pics didn't show up.. plus, we'll need more information.

How far along are they? How do you mix your nutes? Remember, always mix micro first, then grow, then bloom. Do you add any additional magnesium supplements to your solution?

Re: Massive Yellowing on Fan Leaves

From what I understand, Floralicious is to increase nutrient uptake in roots and provide extra carbs and amino acids. You may still need to give your plants more Mag. You can pick up a bag of epsom salts pretty cheap, 1/8th teapsoons per gallon should do it. Remember to dillute it in warm water first. An easy way to tell if it's Mag deficiency usually is the yellowing starts on the outer leaf and works it's way in, usually on older growths.

Re: Massive Yellowing on Fan Leaves

it is normal on a lot of strains for the big fans to yellow and fall away during flower. The plant will prolly drop all of its "sun" leaves in the next 2 weeks, with no pics i would say don't worry, its normal

none, they start dying about halfway through, by the time the flowering is done and harvest, they would have shed most if not all of them. by 8 weeks on an 8 week strain, there is uaullsy no Sun leaves left.

Hm, I guess you're right.. It seems Mazar is a 7 week flowering strain. It could have just as easily been a Mag def., they can sometimes happen a couple weeks into flower if your nutes don't contain enough Mag(Which they USUALLY do). A lot of noobs also mix up the beginning of flower with the beginning of 12/12. I still would supplement some Mag just as a preventative measure.

Re: Massive Yellowing on Fan Leaves

So no other insrtuctions besides add 1/8 teaspoon of epsom salts per gallon, mixed with some warm water?
Will the color comeback? What will happen as a result?

You will be fine, bro. I thought Mazar was a Sativa so I jumped the gun. Epsom salts are pretty fullproof in low dosages and are great at preventing Mag problems. Too much Phosphorous during flower will cause this. Just put it into your feeding regimen, if they don't perk up in 24 hours, it's probably because you're getting into the last stage of flowering. Mazar is probably the fastest flowering strain I've ever heard of.
