strange foliage problem/possibly bug damage?
hi,
I've got a month old indoor plant that I'm concerned about. On two of her leaves there is what looks like a 'trail of decay'. To my newbie eye, it appears that there is some pest(s) that is eating at them. I first noticed it yesterday and incidently spotted a very small wormlike insect (about 1mm in length) and I removed it on site. I inspected thoroughly the rest of the plant and found no more of these mystery creatures. This morning when I went to check on her, there is now a sort of pathway or yellow trail with tiny black lines extending from the spot I noticed yesterday almost to the node. I inspected her once again and have found nothing. I have noticed, however, the presence of ants every now and again, which I always remove on site.
Is there anyone out there who knows what I'm dealing with? If so, does anyone know of any remedies? The patern of the strange infection starts at the tip of the leaf and over time works its way toward the stem.
Any help would be much appreciated both from me and my little darling. Perhaps this is an easy fix but I'm just a newb and am rather concerned.
Thanks!!!!!
