Help! Buds are stretching in their final weeks (pics)

I have a Nirvana Northern Lights Medical Grow 400W HPS that is 6 weeks into budding and now all the tips are starting to stretch out. I've been using Pura Vida Bloom 2-6-6 for the budding stage. I flushed the plants with PH 6 well water a week ago and have not given any more nutes. Anyone have an idea on why they are now stretching on me?

I have experienced doubling when my plants flower in the past but I primarily grow outside. Did you change the distance from the plant to that of your light source? I know seedlings can get "stretchy" when the light is too far from them and the same would also be true for more mature plants. What was the Ph BEFORE you flushed? It coul dbe that the plant is just re-adjusting. Maybe add Super Thrive to get'em more dense or molasses to bulk them up. A more simple explanantion is that your plants are not done budding out yet. In addition, too much nitrogen can cause that and I know that from my own experience. I also have seen where plants reach their final growing point and perhaps, it is just a determined little plant trying to give itself one last boost. All in all, I would say that it'll be OK and your smoke will be superior as it looks like you have done a great job.

Seen this happen with light leaks during final flower. Hope that is not the problem, but I would check it.

I have seen this in a situation when the light cycle is changed in the last stages of flowering, the plant wants to start to veg again. Check the light bleed issue, or stay out of your grow space when they are sleeping. Its one or the other.

This happened to me as well.

I was guessing it happened because my ol' lady mixed up veg nutes instead of bud nutes for a couple waterings.

Could adding extra N have been the issue????

The problem is simply first time indoor grower error. I bought a timer with 8 outlets. 4 outlets timed and 4 not. I have a T5 strip in the room for the sides of the plants and guess where I had it plugged in? What a dummy. Oh well I guess its just first time growing pains.
