Strange Canoeing please advise :(

Hello GC peeps,

I have some strange canoeing going on in my garden. In the past I have had some canoeing from spider mite infestations, but this time there is definetly not one. I have noticed it start to happen just recently, within the past week or so. Ive only noticed it on my thai and my super silver haze.

medium: soil, all organic. start to finish plain water, occasional molasses, and occasional alfalfa tea as needed for nitrogen boost.

The thai, early stages. The silver flecks are from whiteflies i had earlier.

Later stages.

The back/bottom of the haze.

Any ideas? Im really stumped and would like this otherwise great grow to continue!

Leaves curling down are generally a result of over-feeding. The leaves are trying to both retain moisture, and dilute the nutes. They do so by pulling fluid (water) to the area of high nute concentration, causing the weaker areas to curl as a result. Flush the plants well, and when you add nutes back, use 1/2 or 1/3 of the suggested dose.

Come to think of it I havent given these guys any of the alfalfa tea yet, they have just been pure RO water since clone.

I can try to give some extra water and see if that doesnt help alleviate the issue.

Temps 70F 45% humidity. Sounds from both you guys think possible underwatering. Ill give that a shot and see if it helps.

That "Claw" look is typical of too much N. I've noticed other sativa strains suffering this same ailment before accompanying indicas or hybrids. I'm pretty sure heat stress can contribute to, or disguise itself as the same kind of curled leaves.

Who's SSH is it?

Re: Strange Canoeing please advise :(

marijuana-seeds.nl not from an established company unfortunately. And the thai was bagseed.

Interesting that its only affecting those 2 strains, my others are greenhouse seeds trainwreck, dutch passion strawberry cough, dutch passion northern lights.

I was under the impression, that with organics, the plants would only uptake the nutrients they need and thats why you would make a soil mix that can be ROwater'ed from start to finish, so I hadnt really considered this...

*edit* you can see the leaves of the cough looking great in the lower right of the first pic, as comparison.
