Nute burn?

What type of medium; soil
What brand and type of soil? FFOF (With MG that was still around the roots when I transplanted
Indoors or outdoors? In
What strain? Bagseed, good odds it's "Bubba Kush"
How old are the plants? ~14 days
What type of lights and how many watts? 4 23w CFL
How far from the lights? 4in
What, how much and when was it fed? NPK? No added ferts
What is the medium/runoff pH and PPM if in hydro? PH is right around 6.0
What are the temps and humidity in the room? temps are too high (90ish i would guess) Humidity seems low.
What size pots? 3 gal
Any bugs? Look real close. No bugs seen, we go have ants in the house we are working to get rid of.
Any other pertinent info? Started 2-3 days after transplant, using tap water, first water after transplant had 1/4 cap full of peroxide in a 2L bottle of water.

I'm working on the temp issue. I'm going to change from 24/0 to 18/6 and I'm trying to improve airflow. Sorry about the terrible pictures, all I have is my cellphone camera.

Re: Nute burn?

It looks like a burn
I had my plants in scotts for the first few weeks, and it burned the hell out of them
They recovered when i transplanted though
I am no expert by any means, but maybe try a light flush and give no nutes
I think the FFOF has enough food in it for 3 weeks, but i could be wrong
Hopefully it will recover
I am sure someone a little more experienced will help you

Re: Nute burn?

Thanks for the input

It didn't start until a few days after the transplant, but there was still a good amount of MG around the roots.

Could it also be over or under watering?

Re: Nute burn?

Well, keep in mind, im no expert
but i don't think it is over or underwatering
I have done both
When i overwater the leaves kind of claw, if that makes any sense
and when i severely underwatered, the plants just drooped and looked terrible
It survived both extremes though
My leaves only got yellow, then brown, then crunchy when i had them in the scotts soil
I think the MG is still taking its toll, honestly, because everything else seems fine

Re: Nute burn?

I gave it a flush earlier I believe I did it right.

I put it in the tub hit it with room temp water till the top was a thin layer of water (I guess would be the way to explain it) then let it drain then did it a few more times then let it drain for about 15 minutes then put it back.

Re: Nute burn?

Hello pomangro i am having similar problem with my Lowryder when it started i had no idea about heat issues fresh air and nutrient feedings. But it has survived alot of shock and damage but now i have a grow tent 400watt hps fresh air ducted in & stale air ducted out, she's a girl the only survivor it's in a light good soil mix i have been feeding it basic hydroponic grow nutes (small dose) every 2 days but lately the ends of the leaves have been bright yellow and by reading what you had said im pretty sure its the salt build up left in the soil from to many nutes so should i flush it for 2 days then feed it the other 2? It's just come into flower & ive read from joint docter that lowryder likes light nutrients in Growing faze and full flower nutes when it is fully flowering is this true can you give me some tips! ive got some pics from the other day in my photos on here be sure to check em out, will be posting more tonight.

Re: Nute burn?

Well Dutch, I really would like to help, but I am afraid i really don't have the experience to do so.
I just started flowering my first indoor crop ever (CFL in a cab)
The only nutes i use is Schultz 10-15-10, and will continue to do so, so i have no clue
about the nutes you are using.
I have just read a lot on G.C and seen nute burn on my own plants, that is why i easily recognized it
Also if you are doing hydro, I have no idea how to help you, as i grow in soil
I also know nothing about low-ryder
I am sure if you ask somebody more experienced you will get all the help you need
