Over watering,under watering,something else?

I need some help/opinions on whats up.I have some White Widow clones(supposidly) that I took from 3 different mom and they aint looking so good.I have them in pots with Hydroton with a drip system for them.I didnt have the same issue when I had the moms going from seed in the same set up except they where in 4x4 rockwool cubes that were put in pots with hydroton up even with the top of the rockwool cubes.I have a 1 gallon an hour knozzle at the base of each plant and they are under a 400 watt metal halide light 18 on and 6 off. They are watered every 2 hours for 15 minutes. They have been like that for about 2 weeks ,so thinking it was underwatering I put a drip ring around them with holes punched in them to give them a little trickle. No change after 5 days.Is it not enough water with them just being in Hydroton or too much or something else?

What type of medium; soil or hydro?Hydroton
What brand and type of soil?Hydroton
Indoors or outdoors?Indoors

What is the medium/runoff pH?5.8-6.0
What are the temps and humidity in the room?80 degrees F,40-50% Humidity
What size pots?3 gallon square plastic pots
Any bugs? Look real close. No bugs

Re: Over watering,under watering,something else?

The last pic brings me to suspect 2 things...the leaf edges are pointing upwards means its trying to dissipate as much water as possible but is unable to due to salt build-up, heat stress, or lack of water (doesn't seem likely though). The big ridges between viens brings me to suspect a salt build-up, and or heat stress...so with that being said try getting it down around 70*-75*, and flush out your plants with just water to wash away any salt build-up if there is any.

Re: Over watering,under watering,something else?

Its RO water thats is in a 5 gallon bucket with a feed and return, never had a meter maybe I should get one, using the Lucas method/adding straight water back till same amount added as reservoir/bucket starts off with.Everything is spotless I dont suspect salt build up.The three clones that have been in flowering for 3.5 weeks are flawless. At this point I am weeding out between the 3 that are flowering to see which 1 plant I want to stick with.

Get a meter it will solve all your problems...or at least put you on the right track to successfully treating them.

Re: Over watering,under watering,something else?

Picked up a TDS meter yesterday and like a dumb ass I didnt check things out before I cleaned everything up/changed the solution in the reservoir.Anyway heres what I did. With 4 gallons of RO water with PH at 7.7 at 67 degrees added the mild strenght Flora micro, gro, bloom 5ml of each per gallon and ended up with a PH of 5.6 and TDS of 669ppm.Then added 10ml per gallon of Hydroguard and got PH of 5.6 and TDS 655ppm.I then added 10ml per gallon of Cal/mag and ende up with a final PH of 5.5 and TDS of 1100ppm.Got them back going with 1 1 gallon knozzle oer plant at base and watering for 15 minutes every 2 hours.I am keeping really anal notes and this is fun I think I like growing more than smoking.....Wait I will give the growing part a close second. We will see how it goes and I will post back any info/changes along with picts.I wish more people would follow up on there post with these kind of situations. Please keep all the suggestion coming.Maybe too strong on the nutes?

1100 PPM is up there. If it continues to have problems get it down to 900 or so and see how it does. 5.5 pH is perfect.
