PReventing epic fail

OK so im 24 hrs in to a failing grow with 4' northern light clones. I am using a 600 w hps 4' from them because i wasnt supposed to get them still in the veg stage. However, im using general hydro nuits and i added them yesterday according to the bottle(i think!!). I woke up this morning to 3 leaves becoming yellow and one looks brittle and shriveling. They also seem very dried out. I was watering for 15 min every 4 hrs. What am i doing wrong? I had a mentor helping me out but he is no where to be found right now and im completely lost.

What type of medium; soil or hydro? hydro drip ring setup
What brand and type of soil?
Indoors or outdoors? Indoor
What strain? Northern lights
How old are the plants? 4in clones
What type of lights and how many watts? 600 w hps
How far from the lights? 4ft
What, how much and when was it fed? NPK? 15 min every 4 hrs.
What is the medium/runoff pH?
What are the temps and humidity in the room? 80ish
What size pots?
Any bugs? Look real close. only had clones for 24 hrs
Any other pertinent info? Plants look dried out and yellow tips on 3 leaves, 1 is shriveling

wow man your gonna kill those things if you dont move them from that HPS,im guessing the clones dont even have roots, if so put them a couple feet away from a small cfl, if they do have roots get a small MH light or T5

4 inches, you sit 4 inches away from that lamp and see how you dry out.

Way Way too close IMHO.
