Broken CFL

My lowryder is on a shelf and i broke a 100W CFL on the floor about 3 FT. away. Do I HAVE to kill my plant? There was a fan blowing towards the plant and I didn't get it turned off and cleaned up for about 5 min. Thank you. Please say no.

Re: Broken CFL

Should be OK. Just make sure there is no glass in your weed. And the stuff that comes out the bulb while not the most healthy. There is very little of it and not a big worry. All in all if the plant looks ok it will be ok.

Re: Broken CFL

Thank you very much. I was very careful picking it up with no bare hands, washing the floor carefully, and airing the room out. It's a little freaky that we will only be able to use these bulbs in the future but they seem to be doing an OK job on the lowryder. I grew up on canned tuna and still have teeth with mercury fillings but the whole idea of the grow was to have some clean weed. Just like life...You try to do things right and you get screwed every time! Thanks again

Yeah and try not to let them explode in your face. Had one I moved it just a bit and BOOM face full of florescent light bulb. LOL good thing i was able to go from garage to bathroom in house with eyes closed. And also very lucky my eyes closed faster then I could react to it
