Leapfrog's link is what you need to stop the live ones from breeding.
You still have the life-cycle of mites to contend with, the eggs are resistant to attack from Pyrethroid and/or other pyrethrin-based products.
In the past when I've had an invasion of spider mites, usually from cuttings that I've received at one of the clinics, I use a product similar to Leapfrog's suggestion and then religiously apply neem seed oil 2x per week and seaweed extract 1x per week. The neem seed oil impregnates the leaves with an agent which kills any number of invaders like thrips, white flies, red spider mites, gnats, et al.
Seaweed extract has agents which inhibit the eggs from hatching. Both products are not poisons and feed the plant while protecting it at the same time.
At the end of the day it's all about prevention, prevention, prevention - having to react to an infestation is a tiresome process. The plants are weakened, diminished yield (big time) and in general a sick plant can't do its thing as well as a healthy one. Horticulture 101
