Early stages of a major problem?

In the picture notice how the very tips of my leaves are turning yellow and some brown. Is this a sign of something that could get a lot worse? I just transplanted them into fox farms ocean forest but most of the roots are still wrapped around the old MG organic choice potting soil. I have not fed them yet and its day 24 of veg using 4 27w 6500k CFL per plant. Perhaps I should start feeding them now?

Re: Early stages of a major problem?

If you just transplanted into FFOF you shouldnt need to feed. Its probably some nute burn from the miracle grow, just keep an eye on it, since your root ball is still in the MG it may still persist to some extent. Keep an eye on it and the new growth, the yellowing wont go away.

What are you using for ferts... if your using FF products you can give it Big Bloom at 1 tblspn per gallon, lots of good micro nutrients. If you feed a grow fert I'd only go 1/4 strength... about 1/2 tspn per gallon.

Are your leaves tacoing a bit? If so you may want to pic up som Calmag+ or Magical incase you run into a MG issue.

Re: Early stages of a major problem?

I will be using the full line of FF nutes, I think there is 6 in all. How long should I hold off on feeding them? But your saying I should start the big bloom now? The tacoing is just the picture I really dont see them folding up at all.

Re: Early stages of a major problem?

yea, you can use Big Bloom the entire grow. Its not that strongand its more micro nutes and not high in NPK. Start at 1 tablespoon per gallon ( everything else is teaspoons per gallon), but you can go up to 2 tablespoons very quickly.

How long are you planning on vegging for? What size pot did you go from and now in?

Do you have the FF feeding schedule? I dont follow to the T as I think the Grow big advise is a bit strong if your in FFOF.

Re: Early stages of a major problem?

I was planning on following that schedule but I was going to start off on it slowly. My plants were in 1 gallon pots now they are in 3 gallon pots. I'm not sure how long I am going to veg. I am doing LST so whenever my plant fills the whole pot I will start flowering.

Re: Early stages of a major problem?

I'd just start out at 1/2 teaspoon per gallon of the grow big your first watering and see how your plant handles that... then adjust from there.

When you do give them your nutes make sure you give them some plain water first, to get the soil moist, then give them the full watering with your nute mix.

When I water my 3 gallon pots I typically use about 1 gallon
