Is this over fertlization? Only on 10% of plants

I have a 60 plant system. This discoloration is happening on about 7-8 of the plants. The rest are pretty healthy. Is this over fert or deficiency? Plants have been in this system for 8 days.

On about another 8 or so they look fine but the lowest leaf is showing signs of over fertilization. The rest of the plant looks fine, I think those lower leaves are left over from the first nutrient feeding.

PPM is at about 1150 or so.

Hey, I don't see any sleeves, you know, they are a tad bigger than, say, a floppy disk, with a center hole cut, so you can slip it on, over the bottom stem, so nutrients wont touch any lower foliage.

There's your answer.

Yeah I will go get sleeves. But splashing still doesnt explain the bleaching/discoloration on the upper portion of the plants and on new growth.

Any ideas?

Sure, how is your runoff ?, That will tell a lot. However, it seems your giving, to much nutrients as well. I would only give say, 2/3rds, of the " recommended " dosage. And a flush, might be the solution, as well.

Got to step out, ttyl bout this, or anyone for that mater.
