I need help before its too late (pics)

I posted earlier but i dont think the pics were of much help. I am LST for first time. Plant is maybe 20 days old and its starting to yellow. The lower leaves started first, they became striped with yellow in between creases of the leaves. Also around the edges. Here are some pictures of the problem. My water comes from a well and might be hard im not sure. But I really need to resolve this problem. Its hard to say whats causing the leaves to yellow the leaf stems are also slightly tinted red. Here are some pics.... let me know what you think the

Newest top, the leaves are thin and kind of stingy looking ^^^

^^ yellow striped leaves^^

nitrogen def perhaps? Check your stems... when you were doing LST did you accidentally snap anything? Just check, I've done that on my first LST...

Re: I need help before its too late (pics)

I just checked. Nothing is snapped. I looked closer at some hidden leaves underneath and the new growths on the top and i noticed some curling of the leaves. i did research on problems and looked at the yellowing charts and pics. But i cant find anything that looks like this. Its starting to happen on more leaves now. I need to fix this. Should i water with poland spring water? Do you think its a N def? What can i do to save this?

What's the pH if your runoff?
What are you feeding them? Dosage?
Lights, soil, plant age, light cycle....

Need a little more info...

Might be an mg deficiency because of pH. Always check pH first.

Re: I need help before its too late (pics)

I am not feeding... should i be? if so what should i feed it
its on a 24hr light cycle under 5x 25 watt floro daylights. I know in my previous exotic grow my ph was high so i tested my water and it was high as well and im using the same tap water as before. I tested it last time with a pool water test strip. what do you reccomend to test? my distance between nodes is decreasing and the new growth has some leaves that are folded in half at the base. Its in organic soil (fox farm ocean floor) i read online that this was good... Plant is about 21 days old

You need a digi pH pen. I understand they are way more accurate than the other pH testers you can get.

Don't bother feeding it until you've sorted out your pH, 'cos you'll just be wasting nutes. Once the pH is corrected (If this is the prob) give it some food with an NPK ratio of 20.10.10 or similar.

GL.

Edit: start your nutes at a 1/4 of the strength suggested and work up to a bigger dose once you see how the plants react.

There is no next best thing, trust me. I got one that you stick in the soil and it lies to me. I tried another one where you take a soil sample and that wasn't accurate enough. Save yourself time and money in the long run by getting a digi one now imo. Try Ebay for cheaper ones maybe?

Alright, hey thanks for the advice. What stores can i find a didgital ph tester at? or will i be better off ordering one online?

Once i have one what should i take readings of?
- tap water?
- Runoff water?
- Soil?

I came across this one what do you think?

Re: I need help before its too late (pics)

Sorry, can't really help you there, I'm in the market myself. I've picked the experts brains, that's how I know what I want, I just haven't discovered which ones are highly recommended yet. Maybe someone else will help you with that. I'm sure any hydro store will be able to help.

I think it's the run off pH you want to measure.

Re: I need help before its too late (pics)

I dont think its a ph problem here's a solution to try go to the store get a gallon of distilled water and a bottle of veg nutrients (fox farm grow big is fairly priced) follow the instuctions on the back if in two weeks growth isn't back to normal (which i bet it will be) then look into ph and such (distilled water with the nutes should be the right ph)

Goodluck m8 any other questions about this pm me if you want

Re: I need help before its too late (pics)

Well i just recently tested my soil ph and its slightly acid with a 5.5 reading. I want the ph to be at least 6.5 -7 so i bought some hydrateed lime but Idk how much to use. The package says one pound per 100 Square feet. I need to know how much to use. I just started 18 8 8 Ferts

Re: I need help before its too late (pics)

Just water with higher pH water. also, if you are using tap water, it might be to hard (too much calcium) and that will lock out the nutes. try using destilled water.

As far as ferts, I think Aurora Inovations- Roots Organics Buddha Grow has a better ratio of nutes and is organic... it is harder to give your plants a nute burn with organic ferts.

You can get the Roots Organics nutes at a decent price with a decent shipping from RVFgardensupply.com
