I messed up! Root Problem!

Ok. I just took the plant out of the pot to add more soil to it, and in doing so I accidentally pulled some of the lower roots off of the plant! Yeah, I f**ked up!

How bad is that? There is still a good amount of rooting still intact, but about an inch of the lower rooting was pulled off.

What consequences am I looking at here? PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!

You might give it some SuperThrive next watering, but it should be fine.

Re: I messed up! Root Problem!

Wouldn't worry a ton. It might stunt growth for a little bit but nothing severe.

Re: I messed up! Root Problem!

I jus did the same thing and im worried as well, i transplanted 3 ladies(PLEASE)! they are exactly 3 weeks from sprouting today and i transplanted them from 1 gallon containers to 3 gallon bags. I accidentally rip some of the lower roots because they were getting attached to the container and couldnt be removed even though i was as careful as i could be. They look droopy too as your plants do but mine look older or at least bigger, I hope they are ok, its been 2 days since the transplant and I also gave them some superthrive water.Ill let you know if they start growing as soon as they do.

Re: I messed up! Root Problem!

I chop roots off my moms twice a year, no problems as long as I dont put them under a hid or in high temp grow rooms.

If the plant can't transpire water, it will wilt and die.

How many roots did you remove. If it's a lot then just back off the lamp for a few days.

Re: I messed up! Root Problem!

So what your saying is give it no light for a couple days, or position the lamps further away for a couple days?

I really don't want to change the light cycle, I don't want to confuse the plant, .

Back off, meaning raise it. give the plant some time to recover. then lower the lamp once it perks up. Do not change the light cycle, same times and all.

Re: I messed up! Root Problem!

I dont think moving the light is exactly necessary, because I put three of my ladies directly under the light right after transplanting 3 days ago, about 2 to 4 inches under the 250w mh. I have great ventilation so my plants could literally be touching the light and it would be fine, but then again you might have more experience than I do as this is my first time and im still learning as i go. As for the root problem that I mentioned above, the ladies are growing again!! woohoo..everything is well, i'm going to feed them with some growbig for another two to three weeks and then its time for them to flower into beautiful full grown sexy ladies And if everything goes well.............wellllll then lets just say 4/20 will be much better this year because it will be from my own hard work

Re: I messed up! Root Problem!

Here are the brown spots on the leaves that I mentioned.. Anyone know the cause of this, or what it is from?

Re: I messed up! Root Problem!

Bump!!

I believe that is nutrient burn. Unless someone knows otherwise, I am going to use just PH-balanced water from now on, no nutrients.

Is it true that the "scores or markings" never cure? They stay there for the rest of the plants life?
