Re: Little bugs in the soil

If they're fungus gnats ya wanna kill 'em dead quick. They look harmless enough and are easy to squish, but they lay their larvae in the soil and the larvae eat the roots! I fight these fuckers every day of my growing life.

I recommend sticky strips for the flying ones. Remove the top layer of soil, replace with new soil and then a 1/2 inch layer of sand to suffocate the larvae. They don't like garlic either.

I wish we had pictures of these nats next time you see them could you snap a shot of them for me if you could. I think I may of saw them in a bag ffof I picked up. It makes me curious where they come from espically with fox farm having such great quality of products.

Fungus gnatius:

Not actual size! They are significantly smaller.

Re: Little bugs in the soil

Fungus gnat larvae are small white maggots. The adults actually cause no damage, only the horrible young.

this is what i have currently, i could have sworn i seen a flying gnat i stepped on before watering then after mixn nutes and watering they all come to the surface hundreds of lil crackhead green bugs jumping around just as you described then they go back into the soil.

How do I kill them?

im afraid if i let the soil get real dry that they will migrate up the plant into my 7 week old buds

someone please help!
Ive heard of spraying garlic/pepper solution after lights out but I'd appreciate a tried and tured method... anyone please tell me how you did it? plz tks ty
