ok i can have pics up by tomorrow cause im gettin a new camera, but not sure of the ph, and how can i figure the ph? water is straight from the faucet. well the nutes came with the kit, and i was told they would burn the plants cause of their strength but im only using half of what is called for so this hopefully wont happen..the lights are three bulbs not sure what they put off, it's on www.aerogarden.com check out the deluxe this is what i have Well it looks as though the middle of the leaf is getting the damage, and the system is a drip irrigation so the roots get the water | |

Id suggest getting several gal. of distilled water and dumping the lot and going 1/4 nutes at this point. Your tap has chlorine and needs to sit out for 24 hrs first if used and prolly is over 7.0pH and with 1/2 nutes may be 6.5 but your AG needs 5.0-6.0pH. Distilled is ~7.0 and with 1/4 nutes IT will prolly get to 6.0 which is the max pH you use in hydroponics. Order a lil digital pH meter online for $30 ASAP and get an aquarium tester for now and pH down at the pet store and adj. the pH to 5.5 if you want your plants to live through the new year.

For clearification, after you finish the distilled, nutes, superthrive and pH wait till the next day and check the pH again. If you did a 5.5 and its now at 5.7 let it be(its still within the 5-6 and doing fine). If it goes to 5.2 again let it be. If and when it drops to 5.0 you know it will prolly always "drop" at this point of the grow and needs to be readjusted (reset) to 6.0pH so it can naturally drift again to 5.0 which should take a few days(it can happen faster under some conditions,a small res is one of those). OR If and when it raises to 6.0pH you know at this phase of your grow it will prolly always "raise" and will need not go over the max. of 6.0 and will need your pH adj. to a 5.0 so it can again naturally drift to 6.0. This pH movement will allow all nutes to be used by your plants because some are used at lower pH and others at higher while others in the middle. A common mistake is to keep the pH stable at one pH which is good only for the nutes which are used at that pH but others would always be "locked out" and plants would enevidiblely have a deficientcy, then adding more nutes which would be the obvious solution would only cause more problems as the deficientcy is only d/t the pH lock out (its there but it is just locked out). I would recommend both ppm and pH meters and get the highest quality you can afford because you get what you pay for and the probe quality will pay you back in the long run while a very cheap one may be way off and mimic other problems which dont exsist or cause a lockout situation in which plants may never recover from killing them. I use a Blue lab meter with three built in meters which the pH probe can be replaced if needed and it also has a 5 year full swap replacement warrantee. This way i know for five years "MINIMUM" i need not worry about my meters, buy once and be happy (expensive) OR,go cheap and get lucky OR go cheap and loose $1000s in time and plants(one crops grow can be worth over$10,000.00 and this is a no brainer but if your grows crop is one bag seed plant you can take more of a chance. )
