spider mite question?

How long do they live without any plants in the room? I had an infestation of spider mites this fall and never could get rid of them in my grow room. I finally gave up and shut everything down around Thanksgiving, no plants or lights on in there since. If I want to start over soon will I have to worry about them coming back or will they have all hatched and died off by now? also there is no heat in the room and it gets very cold in there every night, will that help to kill them off?

Re: spider mite question?

Hi, I just posted a similar reply in the thread above yours. Go to Lowes or Home Depot and get a HOTSHOT NO PEST STRIP. They are about six bucks, and last 3-4 months. They release a constant vapor which kills all the unwanted pests in your grow space. When eggs hatch, more dead spider mites. This is honestly the best advice I have gotten yet off of this forum, hands down. I will never have another grow room without one or two hanging. I hope this inspires you to get back at it......Good Luck!!
