Can any one shed a little light upon me in my time of need, please? I have seen this before and still dont know what this occourence means. See Pic

that my friend is a female pollen sack. it is produced when the female become a hermaphrodite due to stress, and more likely light leaks. it is often referred to as a "banana" and contains only female genetics. crush a few of these up and apply it to another flowering strain, and it will produce feminized seeds. it will not harm the smoking of your bud if you plan on chopping soon (it looks like some great bud by the way), and you may find a few pre-mature seeds in your bud as well. any mature seed you find are not good, as a plant pollenated by itself produces hermaphrodite seeds, as a self-preservation technique. hope this explains things.

spend a good half hour in your grow room in the dark, and you might be surprised how many light leaks will show up as your eyes adjust to the darkness.

Half an hour and a roll of duct tape and I think I will have the light leaks taken care of then. Thanks for liking the herb.... Mandala gets the cred I just grew it.

Using hermie pollen isn't a reliable way to produce fem seeds, or preserve traits. Especially for the small time home grower.

Keep an eye on that sack, it may pollinate the plant. IMO i'd chop it off.

glad to hear it dude... just got done doing it for my grow. had a few bananas in my bud from last grow, too.

sorry, but I beg to differ. using stress-induced hermie pollen sacks (bananas) is a reliable way to create feminized seeds. it is a technique used by many very experienced growers, including Soma. it is not, however, a good way to preserve genetics. nothing is better for that than cloning.

genetic hermies do not have bananas, they create both pistils and regular male pollen sacks, and will only produce hermie seeds. the key is that your plan has female pollen sacks (bananas), and not male pollen sacks.

chances are, there are many more of these hidden in your bud, and choping the one off will not do anything but spread pollen. bad idea to try to remove it. just let your plant finish its flowering, and harvest as usual.
